Nick Frers RHP / SS / Argyle secondary, BC / 2023

Report: We most recently saw Frers at our latest event and the young two-way player from the North Shore Twins was one of the top performers on the day, posting numbers along with actions. On the mound, the 2023 right-hander listed at 6-foot-1,165-pounds was working in the 83-85 range, touching 86 mph with the fastball and was in and around the zone for the majority of his pen. The arm works and gets on top with some quickness, while he has some feel for the off-speed with both slider and curveball in his mix. At the plate, there is present bat speed for his age and worked mainly to his pull side during BP but with some whip and feel for the barrel.

Future: With Frers being a 2023 grad he is ahead of the curve from both a statistical standpoint and with the strength he currently shows. We really were impressed with what we saw on the mound, with the arm action in the back and feel to throw strikes, Frers looks to be someone who has the chance to really take his game to the next level and establish himself as one of the top arms from BC in his class. The athleticism will allow him to play positions and contribute there as well and we look forward to following Frers as he looks to be a ‘23 to watch for the 2021 Future Games and more.
