White Rock's Kai Okuyama is one of the fastest runners in the province. At a 6.69 60-yard time, Okuyama has demonstrated elite linear athleticism, paired with smooth and rhythmic defensive footwork at shortstop. He still has some rawness to his swing, and his work on his rotational ability is improving. Defensively, he is one of the best in BC at covering ground in the middle of the infield and utilizes his quickness paired with soft hands and rhythm in his movements through the ball to solidify his defence. As his swing matures and his strength improves, Kai will be a significant addition to a college program. Not to mention, a 3.5 GPA as well to boot.
