OUTLOOK: 

The Harbor Pirates continue to build through hard work, high dedication and strong culture looking to take their talent and give themselves a chance to make 2020 the year where they get into the playoffs for a run. With some key veterans in the lineup and a large group of hungry returners, the Pirates are looking to make waves in the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League this season. When returning 10 starters and 5 pitchers, the players all know each other and are looking to utilize that chemistry to take their on the field play to the next level. Finding pitching that can be relied upon will be important if they want 2020 to be a strong season as they have pieces on defense and in the middle of their lineup that can do damage. Coach Allegri continues to have this team working to improve and with his leadership and the strong group of returners, Harbor looks to be ready for a big 2020 season.

TOP RETURNING PLAYERS:

20 SS/3B Brendan Bobo - Cal State Fullerton Commit.

Physical and agile with a LH swing made to do damage through the middle of the field. Showed this summer his tools are very present making Area Code roster and those tools are still raw. Lots to project but could make huge leaps quickly.

20 3B/RHP Alex Tucker

Tucker starts at 3B in 2019 and was one of the Pirates more consistent pitchers. Look for him to be their lead ace on the mound while hitting higher in the order. 

21 INF/OF/RHP Jackson Gifford

Gifford has been on Varsity since his freshman season and can fit at many spots around the field. Swing has power to the pullside and has shown bat speed to be an offensive force. Arm strength on the mound and has shown the stuff to be their #1 starter in 2020.
