The Road to the California State Games begins with the 2023 California high school baseball season. With the season just around the corner, our staff has begun putting out team previews from all around the state, getting you prepared for another year of exciting coverage.

Today we focus on the Clovis West Golden Eagles who ended 2022 at 21-9 overall and 11-4 in the Tri-River Athletic Conference. The Golden Eagles will look to make improvements in 2023, leaning on its experience as well as a couple of transfers who are expected to make an immediate impact to help fuel another bid to the playoffs.

"Not a lot of innings return on the mound, but we are excited about the mix of guys we have. I've seen nice growth but we need to continue to improve as a staff if we are going to achieve our team goals."
