BOTTOM LINE

"We are coming off a tremendous 2024 campaign that culminated in a dogpile at Storm Stadium for a D3 title, but with that in mind some of the key players off that team have graduated and moved on. The 2025 roster will be highlighted by our consistency of play and the good talent depth we have overall. We will show up, play our brand of baseball and compete game in and game out this year." - Coach Lavalle

PREP BASEBALL CA STAFF’S TAKE

"The challenge to repeat as CIF-SS champions is going to be real for Beckman in the 2025 season. But, many didn't think they'd end last season as champions, so the possiblity of it happening isn't zero. Coach Lavalle gets the most out of his players regardless of their abilities and that was evident during their playoff run last season where they knocked off teams that, on paper, maybe had more talent and accolades. But as we know, it all comes down to how you play the game and under Lavalle, Beckman has shown the ability to adjust in-game and play situational baseball. There's a lot talented depth on this roster that will be counted on to take last seasons results and try to duplicate the results this spring. Despite some key losses, particularly on the mound, Beckman returns enough pitching and offense to make a run at another league title and make some noise in the postseason." - Les Lukach
