The 2025 California high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across California.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in their respective CIF Section Championship Game, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview these individual programs across California. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings.

Fresh off their first playoff berth in six years we boast an expereienced and intriguing roster heading into the 2025 season. With a pair of D1 commits fronting a lengthy/deep line up with plenty of pieces to help us produce on the offensive side. As well, we add a strong pitching staff with good defense behind it giving us a chance to limit other teams opportunities to score runs. Our experience overall depth has us in a good spot to improve on the solid season from last year. - Coach Whitmore

PREP BASEBALL CA STAFF’S TAKE

Del Oro has an experienced older squad that is faced with competing in a very tough league, but have the roster and experience this year to make some noise. With Masen Belding and Carson Moore pacing the way on offense they have a chance to be really strong on that side of the game. Jack Tews and Broc McReynolds both show plenty of potential on the mound and if they can perform to their skill set they will be strong as a staff on the bump.
