BOTTOM LINE

We didn't quite have the year we wanted in 2024, but what it did do for us was give a large amount of younger players plenty of varsity experience. While that came with some struggles in results it prepares us for the future. I'm excited about the speed/athleticism that this team is bringing to the field in 2025. With the valuable experience gained I'm hoping for increased results in 2025. - Coach Smith

PREP BASEBALL CA STAFF’S TAKE

Palm Springs is coming off a tough year in 2024 that started off promising with a 5-0 record, but closed with some struggles as a squad. The biggest positive for the Indian out of last year was that 7 different Fr. or Soph. players on that squad garnered 40+ varsity level at bats and while those didn't come with loud performance numbers it provided valuable growth for understanding what it takes to compete and succeed on the varsity level. With those players back plus with all 3 of their primary arms back from the 2024 squad having continued to improve there is plenty of potential for the Indian 2025 team to take steps forward with their performance results. But, that will not be easy playing in a tough Desert Empire league. - Steven Hardesty Assistant Scouting Director
