The 2025 California high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across California.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in their respective CIF Section Championship Game, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview these individual programs across California. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings.

BOTTOM LINE

With maybe the deepest and most talented pitching staff in all of San Diego that likely has at least 5 future D1 arms, we are going to make it difficult for teams to score runs on us. How well our bats perform and put up runs will determine how good of a year we have, but I'm excited about the potential of this squad - Coach Watkins

PREP BASEBALL CA STAFF’S TAKE

Patrick Henry lost two of their biggest contributors with the graduation of ace Talin Gardini (St. Mary's) and starting catcher Jack Giordano (USD). That being said, the pitching staff is replenished with tons of quality arms that thrived on JV or smaller rolls on varsity that we have seen firsthand develop into potential varsity impact pitching. The lineup has some new faces and inexperience, but the overall talent and depth should poise them for a strong season. The arms will keep them in games and key returning pieces in the lineup should keep the lineup moving.
