BOTTOM LINE

"Our roster is deep this year with talent that has seen significant varsity level experience which means they are well prepared for the level of talent they will face throughout the Trinity League. Our athleticism and speed helps us put out a very good defensive group which combined with our pitching staff can help us to minimize the offensive put up against us. The key will be how well we can produce on offense and use our speed to create havoc on the bases." - Coach Gilbert

PREP BASEBALL CA STAFF’S TAKE

"This is a veteran group for Coach Gilbert with a number of players with lots of varsity experience that will serve the Friars well in the gauntlet that is the Trinity League. With a good mix of senior leadership with veterans in the underclasses, Servite is well prepared from a pitching and defense standpoint to make a charge next spring. If the offense can find a rythm, the Friars have enough team speed to cause problems for opposing defenses on a daily basis. They can play small ball and they play the extra-base game with their offensive versatility. In the end, as it usually does in the best league in the country, it will come down to pitching and defense of which the Friars are well stocked." - Les Lukach
