BOTTOM LINE

We don't have a deep pitching staff, but the 4 arms we will feature on the bump in 2025 are very good and will be able to keep us in the game every time they take the mound which will be vital for us. Add in our ability to take care of the baseball on the defensive side of the game we are going to be tough to score on. Now if we can put together a strong offensive season as a team we can make a run in 2025. - Coach Ryan

PREP BASEBALL CA STAFF’S TAKE

The Aztec program claimed their first league title since 2018 with a talented group in 2024 lead by the League Pitcher of the Year Andrew Nichols who has seen headed off to college. Replacing the production of Nichols on the mound and 4 other key pieces from the 2024 squad will be paramount to the Aztec finding themselves on top of the Mission League again in 2025. They boast a foursome of arms who should shoulder the load of replacing Nichols and 2 of those arms have significant varsity experience. The bigger key will be how well the new faces taking over in the lineup are able to produce offensively to help Soledad make a return trip to the CIF-CCS playoffs in 2025 - Steven Hardesty Assistant Scouting Director
