The 2025 California high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across California.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in their respective CIF Section Championship Game, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview these individual programs across California. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings.

+ Team Strengths: On some days we can flash the profile that we have + pitching and defense and if we can do that consistently we will be very good in those areas. Will eleven non-seniors on the team, I believe we will improve as the season goes on

BOTTOM LINE

We have the potential to be a plus squad on the defensive and pitching side of the game, but we will need to show it consistently. Also, with eleven non-seniors on the team, I believe we will improve as the season goes on. The ability to continually improves should give us a chance to play the best baseball of the year for us towards the end of the season and hopefully into the playoffs.

PREP BASEBALL CA STAFF’S TAKE

Vacaville is looking to start the season out strong this year, big difference between the team this year is going to be the level of experience. The team graduated over 12 seniors and won a league title last year. Leading the way on the mound will be Jaiden Oldwin (Coastal Carolina) who had a 1.24 ERA and a 2-1 record. Caden Whitten & Dom Yacovetti return after leading Vacaville in multiple offensive categories, I think both of these guys havw a chance to have big seasons. It's going to come down to whether they can piece it all together, with having some younger guys, their best baseball will be played later on in the year. Anything can happen with that league, lots of talent in the area.
