The 2025 California high school baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams across California.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons in their respective CIF Section Championship Game, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview these individual programs across California. We will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Power 25 rankings.

2024 Record (Playoff Finish): 16-14 (CIF-SJS D2 Playoffs / Won first round vs Del Oro / Lost in round two against Woodcreek.)

BOTTOM LINE

With one of the top '26 players in the state of California fronting the Panthers lineup and a deep group of experienced players who return from a strong 2024 campaign the expectations are high within the Panthers program. They feature depth up and down the lineup with a similar makeup to their pitching staff that should make them both able to put up runs, but also able to limit the opportunities for opponents to score.

PREP BASEBALL CA STAFF’S TAKE

Going into the 25' season West Park is going to be team with a lot of older guys with experience, in the long run that is going to be important. Beating Del Oro in the playoffs last year made a huge statement in the area, considering West Park is a newer school. Ayden Deome (Arizona) is moving over to SS this year, excited to see him prove he can play anywhere in the infield, kid can really swing it too.  Jayden Mcneal will be playing up the middle, who's a slick infielder. They have got lots of options on the mound with Zobel, Oliver, Hunter, & Ortez who are all looking to contribute as starters. I think they can win their league, escpecially with having so much depth. They have got a loaded preseason, playing against teams like Rocklin, Whitney, & Del Oro so that should be a real test to see if this team can put together their very talented roster. Looking forward to catching a couple games to see West Park.
