UNCOMMITTED 2025s
![]() |
Luca Marucci C / OF / Loyola, CA / 2026From 1/2/25: “Marucci is a talented RH hitter out of the Loyola program who competes in the very strong Mission League. Making the trip down to Orange County to open his 2025 the 6'1 195.6 lbs. Marucci had an intriguing day showing his tools off. Clocking a 7.08 60 time which was 3rd fastest on the day showing the athleticism to his solidly built frame while also adding sound actions behind the plate with a developing 74 MPH C velo and a low of 2.03 on his pop time. But, where he separated himself was the performance he put on during BP with barrel after barrel during his rounds. Marucci peaked at 93.7 MPH on his EV while showing quickness in his path including 21.5 MPH hand speed and 71.3 MPH of bat speed with 22.1 Gs of rotational acceleration.” |

Druw Frost OF / 1B / Point Loma High, CA / 2025Rankings StateRank: 178 / POS: 28
From 3/24/25: “Frost has continued to live on the barrel since the new year. Nothing changed when he homered in the 4th inning to get the Pointers on the board at a time when the game was 2-0, Granite Hills. He got a pitch up and over the plate and drove it over the RF fence for a solo shot. He reached base 3 times in the ballgame to put his OBP at .577 to go along with his .389 AVG. through his first 7 games in 2025. His no stride swing continues to provide consistent success for him in the box as he keeps his approach simple and rarely gets cheated at pitches in the zone. His defensive versatility goes a bit under the radar compared to his bat but he played CF and 1B in the game and he showcases good actions at both positions with his primary profile being in the OF. With Frost hitting his 1st HR in ‘25 and having an .OPS at 1.299, his stock is continuing to rise as one of the top ‘25 uncommitted bats left on the market in San Diego and he can be a great pick up for a college program.” |

Branden Keeling 3B / OF / Point Loma High, CA / 2025From 1/4/25: “Frost's Pt. Loma counterpart was another big part of the offense in 2024. Keeling was second on the team in average, hitting .305 with two HRs and 3 doubles. In BP he topped the event with a max EV of 101.5. He carried that into the game with a massive home run over the batters eye in dead CF. The swing registered a 97 EV.” |

Michael Nonis C / 3B / Centennial High, CA / 2026Rankings StateRank: 120 / POS: 15
From 2/24/25: “Nonis continues to prove why he is a name to keep an eye on through this season as he keeps it rolling to help Centennial not only win this game big, but also capture their 4th win of the season. He gets his team on the board first by driving in two runs with bases loaded, showing his maturity at the plate by staying on the attack up in the count and drives this ball over the first baseman’s head to right field. His next two at-bats he would fly out deep to both center and right, further showing how well he is seeing the ball right now. One of those fly outs would net an RBI, getting a job done for his team with runners on. Beyond his strong performance on the field, Nonis also stands out for his leadership and character. He is consistently the first person out of the dugout to greet his teammates after a big play or a tough inning. His energy is infectious, and he creates a positive atmosphere on the field.” |

Tomas Bilvado RHP / 3B / San Marino, CA / 2025Rankings StateRank: 109 / POS: 35
From 1/30/25: “Tomas is coming up here from SoCal, which is where I saw him first at the 24' State Games at Fullerton JC in August. The Prep Baseball staff is a big fan of Bilvado everytime he steps on the field because he such a reliable player. Whether he is on the dirt fielding GB's, hes very smooth and fluid in the INF, having quick transfers and fast footwork. Transitioning to hitting, Bilvado had a max EV of 95.6 MPH and a max distance of 338 FT. A lot of his rounds were hard line drives or GBs with backspin, another guy who doesn't try to do to much at the plate. On the mound Tomas was 84-85 MPH T86.1 MPH, comes out of his hand firm. Plus SL at 75.9 MPH and spin of 2509 RPM. The CH and SPL are two other pitches Tomas can throw for strikes and use it as chase pitches. I hope he has a great 25' season and picks up a school that fits the best.” |

Jack Tews RHP / OF / Del Oro High, CA / 2025Rankings StateRank: 200 / POS: 66
From 2/27/25: “Tews is really starting to make a name for himself in the northern California region, Del Oro is off to a good start of the year and the senior ace has been fantastic. I haven’t seen Tews on the mound this year but last week against Monte Vista he was nails and was up to 92 mph. The kid is overall an athlete, from making diving plays in the outfield, to throwing on the mound, or leading the team in offense. His first at bat of the game he laced a double to the left center field gap, a lot of the balls he hits go towards the middle of the field. Tews was the sparkplug that ignited the big seven run inning in the top of the sixth inning, his solo home run to dead center was the start of a massive offensive statement. Seems like its all starting to come together for Tews, he was battling a wrist injury in the past years and has played football too. Tews has a serious shot to make a team better next year as an impact freshman, I tend to see those players who pick one sport after high school even get better. Best of luck to Tews and his DO squad as they will try to make a run to the post season.” |

Kael Lumbert OF / RHP / Del Oro High, CA / 2025From 2/27/25: “Lumbert is a swiss army knife, because every time I’ve seen him play he seems to be playing a different position on the field. Centerfield, third base, and on the mound are the spots I’ve seen Lumbert at, not to any surprise he is being able to do this at a high clip. Although this game especially wasn't his best offensive one, he still managed to help contribute to the team's comeback win over the Fighting Zebras. Lumbert got to show off his speed as he hit a normal groundball to the third baseman, all it took was an extra step and before you know it, he beat the throw by a step. Following his next at bat, Lumbert hit a key sac fly RBI that ended up scoring Carson Moore, which kept the inning alive to break the game back open. The senior utility player is currently uncommitted, he's got a lot of value since he can play multiple positions, hoping for a breakout year from Lumbert.” |

Cyrus Nabavi OF / OF / Del Oro High, CA / 2025From 1/30/25: “Cyrus comes in at 5'9" 203lbs, he is a strong kid, built like he plays football but dont let that fool you, his lowest 60 was a sub 6.8. Cy's grip strength was in the top 5 with a 153.1 (R) and 166.6 (L). Cy continued to improve his numbers and have a max EV of 98 MPH and an avg EV of 94.8 MPH which was one of the highest of the event. Max distance was 354 FT. His sweet spot % was at 75 and hard hit was at 83.3% proving to hit the ball hard a lot of his rounds. The arm needs to improve if he wants to stay in CF/RF but has the speed and bat to do it. Cy plays for Del Oro High School and is looking to have a breakout senior season.” |

Jaylen Dawson OF / OF / Inderkum High, CA / 2025From 2/9/25: “Dawson has a chance to make a college team very good in the OF and I think he can be a leadoff type hitter just from his bat to ball skills, and not to mention his event best 6.69 60-yard dash. Dawson's max run speed was 20.6 MPH and a 1.61 10yd dash split. He can straight up fly and it showed when he was doing his defensive part of the workout, along with low throws that were accurate to home plate. Dawson is still uncommitted but any school will be lucky to have him. In BP he had a max EV of 94 MPH and an avg EV of 89.6 MPH consistently hitting the ball hard (75% hard hit rate & a 75% sweet spot). If the arm gets stronger he will be able to stay in CF or RF, especially with his plus speed out there.” |

James Romanov OF / OF / Twelve Bridges High School, CA / 2025From 2/9/25: “Another good player from Twelve Bridges High School, Romanov stands at 5-foot-11, 176-pounds and tested 140.6 (RH) and 140.6 (LH) with his grip strength. Romanov had an event best Vizual Edge score of 82.46. Lots of athleticism in the tank as he ran a 7.12 60-yard dash with a top speed of 18.9 MPH. His vertical jump score of 27.3 was in the top-3 for the event as well. Romanov really stood out with his hand speed at the event, his max hand speed was 22.8 MPH, but his max bat speed was another event best at 88.9 MPH, avg bat speed of 82.0 MPH. Needless to say his hands are working super quick to the baseball with an approach to the middle of the field. Max EV of 96.2 MPH, avg EV of 88.6 MPH, max distance 356 FT, and a 58.3% hard hit rate. This was the first time I saw Romanov and I hope he finds a home for his next year of ball.” |

Ethan Flynn OF / 3B / Valley Christian , CA / 2025Rankings StateRank: 353 / POS: 59
From 2/16/25: “Flynn is a strong, physical player who brings plenty of energy to the field. His 60-yard time improved to 7.33 seconds, reaching a max run speed of 18.6 MPH—numbers that could continue to improve with more development. In the outfield, Flynn moves well, showing good range and consistently accurate throws, topping out at 82 MPH. He’s set to be a key piece for a talented Valley Christian squad, projected to start in the outfield. At the plate, Flynn impressed with a max exit velocity of 91.7 MPH and an average of 83.6 MPH. His raw strength was further highlighted in the grip test, posting elite numbers—150 (LH) and 156 (RH). With his tools and energy, Flynn is primed for a breakout season. A school will be lucky to land him." |

Joshua Brown 3B / C / Oaks Christian, CA / 2025Rankings StateRank: 246 / POS: 20
From 1/25/25: “Brown is a super versatile defender who shows the ability to play multiple spots on the field, but I personally like him the best as a OF who can produce high offensive production. Brown has been very good across his Prep Baseball California attendance and during my live looks on the scouting trail which he again backed up with his performance in the High Desert. Brown checked in at 5'11 178.5 lbs to go with a another sub 7.0 60 time while adding 83 MPH OF arm velocity that would allow him to potentially play all 3 OF spots. At the plate during BP he produced personal bests in all of his Blast motion categories including 83 MPH of bat speed at the peak, 23.2 MPH of hand speed at the peak with 13.6 Gs of rotational acceleration. The upward trending of his swing metrics combined with his consistent feel for the barrel produced a personal best 100.3 MPH max EV, 90.6 MPH avg EV and 50% sweet spot/hard hit rates. Brown is going to be a strong land for a college program who can bring impact potential as RH hitter to a lineup.” |
