FREMONT, CALIF. - As an open event, this was conducted as a straight traditional showcase, 60 yard run, BP round (with Blast Motion sensors and TrackMan utilized for gathering of various data and metrics), defensive workouts, and pitchers ending the day on the mound throwing 15-20 pitch sessions.

Stavros Booras, California (San Ramon, CA), 2024

: 5-10, 155-pounds; Lean, athletic build. 7.85 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet narrow; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Extended take back of the hands with a gliding stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with two handed finish with occasional top hand release. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 88 MPH via Trackman. Easy swing, stays on plane well, good body control in the box, line drive approach.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are soft while funneling to the hip before transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 82 MPH. Calm feet, measured actions, not in a hurry, presents as a steady defender with ability to routinely make the routine play.

Shane Aldridge, Moreau Catholic (CA), 2022

Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with a moderate leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a direct swing path with one-handed finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 91 MPH via Trackman. Slashing stroke, sees ball well,can spray line drives around, works with a contact oriented approach.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while displaying fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are soft while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 81 MPH. Sees ball early, efficient quiet actions, gets ball underway quickly, calm presence, has balance through the finish of the play.

Nick Parker, Arcata (CA), 2022

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with two handed finish with occasional top hand release. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 91 MPH via Trackman. Aggressive attack angle, has barrel control, ability to stay fairly compact to ball with extension through contact.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands work through the ball with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 81 MPH. Sure-handed, clean first step, efficient release with arm talent to make above average plays, mechanically sound with athletic actions.

Wesley Whitaker, Oakland Tech (CA), 2022

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Extended take back of the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with two handed finish. More ground balls than line drives and fly balls with a peak exit velocity of 79 MPH via Trackman. Generated top spin frequently as a function of the upward attack angle and dominance of top hand.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high-3/4 arm slot. INF - 77 MPH. Has bounciness in his actions, keeps feet moving, creates clean angles, plays low and through the ball.

Kayden Shaw, Kennedy (Fremont, CA), 2024

Offensively: Switch hitter. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with a moderate leg kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a high finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 88 MPH via Trackman. Swing description fits both sides of the plate, has whippy life in swings, more bat control on the RH side, routinely found barrel, strength gains will bring along the potential power.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep hop while playing low to the ground. Hands are out in front while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high/over the top arm slot. INF - 75 MPH. Long stride range, keeps head up and level, accurate thrower, strong body control, confident defender.

Narayan Venkataramana, Washington (Fremont, CA), 2023

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Loads straight back with a gliding stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with two handed finish. More ground balls than line drives and fly balls with a peak exit velocity of 71 MPH via Trackman. Generally kept ball out of air working with line drive approach, short finish, stayed on plane through contact.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while displaying fluid actions to the baseball. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 70 MPH. Quick arm action suggesting more raw arm strength coming as he matures, decisive actions, soft hands with ability to get ball out quickly, focused energy and played ball with a sense urgency.

Bryson Seng, Mountain House (CA), 2025

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Loads straight back with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a moderate swing path with two handed finish. More ground balls than line drives and fly balls with a peak exit velocity of 76 MPH via Trackman. An array of contact with 44% fly balls, 33% GBs and 22% line drives, pops hips aggressively, has some head tilt that changes eye level, gets barrel into zone quickly.
Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are out in front while staying low during transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 65 MPH. Looks to enjoy playing defense, confident actions, good glove work out front, did pat glove on occasion on way to getting rid of the ball, keeps energy moving through the ball, good angles, sound defensive mechanics.
