NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - Players are always hard at work to improve exit velocities, throwing velocities, and other data/stat measurements, maybe more now than ever before. Hitting in their garages, at local parks and in backyards, they are working on getting their exit velocity to the magic number of 90 mph and beyond.

Practicing to produce higher exit velocities, practicing to throw harder and then showing the results of the work helps to paint a more full picture of a player. We understand that the data/stats doesn't show or prove that a player can hit quality pitching or pitch effectively vs talented hitters. Rather, the stats/data are important reference points for the raw tools at a given time in the development of the player. A piece of the puzzle.

These nine players posted significant velocities at our two Northern California Winter Update events that were held at FBK1 (Santa Rosa) and Mike Murphy Baseball (Walnut Creek). Some of the velocities are noteworthy because of the raw number. Some are noteworthy due to the age of the player. Others are noteworthy due to where the player is at in their physical development, meaning, they are still quite far from their physical peak and yet still posting good numbers.
