Our weekly Diamond Notes highlights notable players that were nominated by their coaches for the February 18 - 23 Northern California Player of the Week award. Though not selected as the Player of the Week, they earned this special recognition. Players are listed alphabetically.

2019 OF Jake Coleman - California HS - 2 games v Kennedy (Fremont) and Santa Rosa; went 1-for-2 in 4-2 win vs Kennedy with a solo HR & went 1-for-1 in win vs Santa Rosa with a 2 RBI, 2B, 2 R
2019 P Michael Funes - San Jose HS - Through two games he hit .800 with 3 triples, 4 RBI, and 3 runs scored. On the mound, he struck out 6 batters over 3 innings of work
2021 P/INF Satchel Greene - Salesian Prep - 2 games; 5 IP, 11 K, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, credited with 2 wins; 1-for-2 combined hitting, 3 HBP, BB, 2 R, SB. Entered 2/20 game trailing 2-1, struck out 3 of 5 hitters as Salesian came back to win in walk-off fashion; 2/23 entered in 4th on mound, team down 6-1, went 3.2 IP, struck out 8 of 13, team came back to win.
2022 INF Lucas Kelly - Sacred Heart Cathedral - 3 games he went 7-for-11 with 3 doubles and 2 walks, tallied 9 RBI in his first 3 varsity games, which were all wins

2020 3B/OF Harrison Kohagura - Vintage HS - Led the way offensively for VHS going 3-for-8 over 2 games including a HR, 2B, and 2 RBI from the lead off spot
2022 OF/1B/LHP Ivan Lizardi - King City HS - Over three games he collected 8 base hits with 5 RBI
2019 RHP Roman Rosales - Immanuel HS - 2/22 vs Hoover HS, 7 IP, 4 H, 0 BB, 14 K, 0 ER
2020 RHP Ryan Ward - Manteca HS - vs. Atwater on Friday 2/22/19, 6 IP; 6 K; 1 ER; 4 H; 2 BB and went 2-for-3, 2B, R, RBI
