Norcal Player of the Week: Bryce Sidler

2020 3B/P Bryce Sidler of Oakmont HS has been named the Prep Baseball Report Northern California Player of the Week for March 4th - March 9th due to his outstanding performance at the plate all week long.

Oakmont HS (Roseville, CA) is a team with quite a bit of talent, including two present juniors who are committed to D1 programs (Carson Blatnick, Washington State & T.J. Nichols, Sacramento State), and in the early part of the season it is the uncommitted senior Sidwell, who is leading the charge of a potent offense. The Oakmont Vikings went 3-0 last week and are off to a 5-0 start this season, with Sidler hitting a robust .636, with some power (7-for-12, 2 2B, HR, 8 RBI). For good measure he has also pitched in two games (3 IP, W, H, BB, HBP, 3 K).

This last week in three games he went 6-for-8 (2B, HR, SB, 4 R, 6 RBI) while also contributing three scoreless innings. Oakmont swept a doubleheader on 3/8/19 from Downey HS (Modesto) and Wood HS (Vacaville) in the Scott Lankford March Madness Tournament, which saw Sidler go 5-for-6 in the two games (2B, BB, SB, 3 R, 4 RBI) and he pitched a clean inning with 2 Ks for good measure. On Saturday 3/9/19 vs Placer HS (Auburn) he went 1-for-2 (HR, R, 2 RBI) and also threw two scoreless innings (H, BB, K) as Oakmont won 6-1.

For his performance all week Bryce Sidler has been named the Prep Baseball Report Norcal Player of the Week for the week of March 4th - March 9th. We salute Bryce's accomplishments and wish him and his team continued success both on-and-off the field.
