REDWOOD CITY, CALIF. - As an open event, this was conducted as a straight traditional showcase, 60 yard run, BP round (with Blast Motion sensors and TrackMan utilized for gathering of various data and metrics), defensive workouts, and pitchers ending the day on the mound throwing 15-20 pitch sessions.

Derek Waldvogel, Serra (San Mateo, CA), 2023

: 6-2, 190-pounds; Physical, broad shouldered build. 7.47 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat moving to upright position. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a finish around the back. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 96 MPH via Trackman. Punishing contact, hands work cleanly through the ball, able to drive ball to all fields with power, consistent hard barrel contact.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while utilizing a quick first step. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 76 MPH. Clean angles, smooth quick transfer from glove to hand, accurate around bag, reads ball early and coordinates footwork well.

Antonio Carter, Bishop O'Dowd (CA), 2022

Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with a moderate leg kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slashing stroke with two handed finish. More ground balls than line drives and fly balls with a peak exit velocity of 95 MPH via Trackman. Lively bat, plus bat speed, stays on-plane while creating impactful contact on a consistent basis.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 80 MPH. Quick from glove to hand, some delay on backside of arm action, lower slot occasionally creates some tail, range potential is a plus, body control is a plus.

Liam Barrett, Mountain View (CA), 2024

Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Loads straight back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a sweeping swing path with two handed finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 93 MPH via Trackman. Fluid actions during the swing, swings with intent and ability to spray ball around with authority, strong barrel awareness with fast hands.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while being aggressive. Hands are off to the side with a seamless transfer. Long arm swing from a high/over the top arm slot. OF - 91 MPH. Aggressively charges, confident defender, big arm with carry and around the bag, potentially a plus defender with capability to impact game with his arm.

Benjamin Gudoy III, Francis Parker (CA), 2025

Offensively: LHH. Open setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat to start. Drops hands on the way back with a moderate leg kick for timing. Drifts into contact while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with two handed finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 92 MPH via Trackman. Equal % of GBs/LDs/GBs (33.3), fairly compact with ability to use whole field and make adjustments to different locations, looks the part of a hitter w/ability to hit for average and extra base pop.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side with a delay in transfer. Moderate arm circle from a standard 3/4 arm slot. OF - 84 MPH. Light feet, some tailing action on throws, clean angles with calm demeanor and approach to ball.

Salvatore Meehan, Palo Alto (CA), 2023

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Loads straight back with a gliding stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact, while showing a strong lower half. Showed a flat swing path with one-handed finish. More ground balls than line drives and fly balls with a peak exit velocity of 91 MPH via Trackman. Wristy stroke, has barrel feel, executed an approach that works for him given his particular hitting tools, gets bat into zone quickly with flashes of above average bat speed.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side while funneling to the hip before transfer. Long arm swing from a high/over the top arm slot. OF - 81 MPH. Arm strength with potential to play slightly above average, light feet, gets rid of ball in rhythm, has body control, consistent mechanics with throws around the bag/target.

Demorie Sherman, San Leandro (CA), 2023

Offensively: RHH. Open setup, with feet narrow; upright bat position. Loads straight back with a gliding stride for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact, while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a sweeping swing path with a finish around the back. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 90 MPH via Trackman. Fairly equal contact percentage (25 LD, 37.5 FB, 37.5 GB), has life in the swing, some moving parts toward the ball but stays on-plane at high level, athletic swing with upside given future strength gains.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; walks into ready position while showing active feet. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 74 MPH. Aggressive to ball, fields from glove to hand with coordination of feet, modest raw arm strength with closing ability allowing the arm to play up.

Jasper Wilfrid, Mountain View (CA), 2023

Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; upright bat position. Short take back with the hands with an up and down stride for timing. Gets ball out fairly quickly while closing ground aggressively, footwork at release tends to stifle some fluidity of the release.

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; bat positioned at a 45 degree angle. Short take back with the hands with a slight leg-kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a slight lift to the ball with two handed finish. More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 87 MPH via Trackman. Keeps top hand above ball to and through it, all fly balls and line drives, approach to put ball in air, showed barrel awareness, somewhat pull-side dominant, does flash some power potential.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep hop while being aggressive. Hands are off to the side while funneling to the hip before transfer. Long arm swing from a high/over the top arm slot. OF - 86 MPH. Balanced with first move getting him in-line do his target, light feet, strong arm with ability to thwart baserunners, range potential is fair so positioning and reaction times are keys.

Aaron Harkov, Serra (San Mateo, CA), 2024

Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat moving to upright position. Loads straight back with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with two handed finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 87 MPH via Trackman. Fairly compact with contact oriented approach, has bat control and zone adjustability, has barrel feel and high level to stay on-plane.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 78 MPH. Calm approach to ball, fairly routine mechanics to release, slight tailing action near the target, ball comes out with hints of potential for slightly above average arm strength in the future.

More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 86 MPH via Trackman. Aggressive upward move to the ball, showed ability to stay on-plane within the context of his approach.
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep step while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 81 MPH. Gets around ball early to create angle to the target, backside is fairly compact, full finish with back leg powering through, resembles pitchers-type finish, flashes of slightly above average future arm strength.

OF - 78 MPH. Average approach to ball, gets ball out fairly quickly, throws displayed tailing action at the target, tips head a bit as he fields the ball.

More fly balls than line drives and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 80 MPH via Trackman. Flay ball approach given the aggressive attack angle, launch angle resulted in extreme avg (29.49).
Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; uses prep hop while being aggressive. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 76 MPH. Aggressive follow through after aggressively charging the ball, gets it out quickly with accuracy and some air under the ball.
