Player Reports: JW North v Yorba Linda

Les Lukach
State Scouting Director

The Inland Empire faced off with The OC in a non-league tournament game as JW North traveled to play at Yorba Linda High School on what was a perfect SoCal spring day for a ballgame.

JW North has long been an ultra-competitive that has seen its share of success - the Huskies won the brutal CIF-SS Division I title in 2011 under then head coach Steve Madril who has since moved on. Second year head coach John Noce has a talented team that should make some noise in the Inland Valley League.

Yorba Linda is a program that is beginning to show signs of traction under head coach Matt Stine and this could be as talented a club as the Mustangs have had in recent memory. The Mustangs are led by senior shortstop Blake Faddoul, a Santa Clara commit and if the pitching can hold up, Yorba Linda could be disruptive in the North Hills League this year.
