PBR California Staff

New Episode LIVE now! At The Yard Podcast

COVID ended the 2020 season early throughout the State but as things progress quickly for the 2021 high school season, it’s time for us to preview teams from around the State in the Yearly Preseason Preview. Schedules are being adapted to fit the ever-changing landscape and though this season may look different than history has shown us, coaches/staff, players, families, and our team are preparing for 2021 to be as successful as possible.

We’ve submitted the Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state and their responses have been flooding in. Over the next several weeks, we’ll be using their detailed insight on our team-by-team previews ahead of the 2021 season leading into the California Power 25 Rankings.

SEASON OUTLOOK:

Edison Coach Cameron Chinn has high expectations for his Chargers heading into 2021 and likes what his team brings to the field every day. Coach Chinn expects this team to be very competitive in the Sunset and sees the team’s pitching depth being able to lead the team. There’s a strong group of returners as the Chargers bring back 5 starters from last season who have the experience and talent, being able to help this roster on both sides of the baseball. For this team to reach its full potential the young skill players are going to have to get used to the Varsity level quickly and with their talent level, this shouldn’t be an issue. Coach Chinn has seen this team’s character come through during the tough delay and believes that they’ll be able to come together and be one of the better teams in Division 2 Southern Section in 2021.
