On Sunday, January 12th, the PB California staff traveled to Ventural College in Ventura, CA, to host the Central California Preseason ID, an open event for the class of 2025-2028.

Nearly 40 players made their way to Ventura and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

        TOP PITCHING PROSPECTS

        1. Jonah Cohen RHP / Palos Verdes, CA / 2027

        Positional Profile: RHP 
        Body: 6-5, 185-pounds. Long levers, lengthy build, projectable with added strength.
        Delivery: Long levers, keeps weight on back leg, utilizes front hip, loose, balanced throughout.
        Arm Action: RH. Easy arm, compact, starts low on the back swing, low 3/4 slot.
        FB: T86, 85-86 mph. Firm, heavy spin with arm side life. T2447, 2344 average rpm.
        CB: 74-76 mph. Power curve, late 12/6 break. T2174, 2139 average rpm.
        CH: 75-77 mph. Deceptive, ball dies as it gets to the plate. T2138, 1965 average rpm.
