Ventura, Ca. - The calendar has shifted to February and the year 2025 is fully underway which in Southern California means that MLB Draft buzz is in full force. Small college baseball is fully underway, the NCAA D1 level is coming quick and we are two weeks away from opening day for CIF High School baseball in various areas of California. As well, February brought the completion of the West Coast Showcase circuit for MLB draft purposes as some of the names to know for the 2025 MLB Draft came to the campus of Loyola Marymount University to complete a two-day event in front of MLB Scouting Departments that started with a workout day on Saturday and then Sunday brought on field BP, INF/OF and 9.5 inning simulated scrimmage with 19 arms throwing.

This year's edition of the event brought 44 players out from the '25 - '26 - '27 grad classes including 10 members of the initial Prep Baseball Draft HQ Top 150 board. Of that group several players put together very strong days with their workout performances and in game results that should help to continue their momentum into the spring season for their shot to hear their names called come July in the 2025 MLB Draft.
