On Sunday, January 5th, the PB California staff traveled to Corona High School in Corona, CA, to host the Inland Empire Preseason All-State, an invite-only event for the class of 2025-2028.

Nearly 60 players made their way to Corona and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

TOP CATCHING PROSPECTS

1. Luke Bacon C / OF / Arlington High, CA / 2027

Positional Profile: C
Body: 5-11, 160 pounds. 
Hit: LHH. Athletic setup with a narrow base. Hands start high with load, work back at same time as the stride. High leg kick, loose movements throughout with great body control, stays balanced.  Loose, compact swing with uphill path and intent to lift. Exceptional hand and hip speed to generate power. 68.5 mph bat speed with 21g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 95 mph max exit velocity (86.9 avg.); 365-foot max batted distance. 
Arm: RH. C - 74.00 mph. Quick arm that whips over the top. Overhand slot. 
Defense: 1.95-1.99 pop time range; Soft receiver, quick movements behind the plate. Momentum carries him forward to throw.
Athletic Testing: 7.27 runner in the 60-yard dash.
