At The Yard Podcast: New Episode LIVE now!

This Sunday, January 26th, the Prep Baseball California team is hosting the Inland Empire Preseason ID at Ganesha High School in Pomona, CA. This is an open event for all high school classes (2025-28), and gives our staff an ample look at the area's top players.

For a closer look at the showcase details and the technologies we'll have on-site to assist our in-person evaluation for all in attendance, click here. For a complete look at those registered to attend this event, view the most up-to-date version of the roster by clicking here.

2025 ROSTER

INF Alvaro Moreno Jr (Ganesha, 2026)
We are looking forward to getting eyes back on the strongly built 6'3 200 lbs. corner profile defender who was a standout at the 2024 SoCal Preseason All State Underclass and then again during the summer at the Future Games Tryout: Orange County. Recently transferred into the talented Ganesha High School program, Moreno Jr. will showcase his abilities on his home field as he looks to get tuned up for what he hopes to be a strong Jr. campaign.

OF Roman Del Castillo (Damien, 2027)
An athletic LH hitter with a highly projectable 6'5 183 lbs frame that possesses good actions across the board as showcased by strong performances at the 2024 SoCal Top Prospects Underclass and earlier this month at the OC Preseason ID. Reaching new personal bests in multiple swing metrics and batted ball data metrics at the OC Preseason ID event, Del Castillo will look to see if he can bump those up one more time before starting his Soph. campaign at Damien HS.

OF Brady Strachan (Rancho Bernardo, 2026)
2-sport athlete with a durable and athletic 6'1 170 lbs frame. Covers ground on base and in the outfield, twitchy and reactive swing with quick hands. Strachan enjoyed a dominant CIF-SD playoff stretch after hitting .354 in 99 ABs in his sophomore year as Rancho Bernardo finished as the open division runner-ups. He has shown instincts and the ability to barrel up the ball consistently for positive outputs. The IE Preseason ID marks Strachan's first event with us and we're excited to see him out on the diamond at Ganesha HS.

Perusing the event roster, we’re set to meet a majority of players who’ve not yet attended a Prep Baseball showcase, and we’re eager to add more names to our follow lists.

EVENT CHECK-IN PROCESS

Because of the number of prospects set to attend Sunday's event, it is imperative that you read our adjusted showcase itinerary below, which will allow our staff to swiftly and efficiently educate and evaluate the players set to attend.

Additionally, in an effort to continue and develop contactless check-in strategies, upon arrival, players will scan a QR Code with their smart phone camera that will lead them to a Google Form. On that Form, players will enter their name (matching the spelling on their PB profile) and hit submit. Upon submission, players will be prompted to click a link that will direct them to their jersey color and number, located next to their registered name.

ITINERARY

Check-In Times:

  • All Position Players: 8:30 am
  • All Pitchers-only: 11:30 am
  • Catchers will stay for both sessions.
