At The Yard Podcast: New Episode LIVE now!

Los Angeles, Calif. - Each week during the high school season we will announce the NorCal Pitcher and Player of the Week covering the action from the previous week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Pitcher of the Week and one Player of the Week based on recommendations from high school coaches from Northern California. 

Continuing from previous seasons, we will also be highlighting others players from across the state in our Prep Baseball California Diamond Notes that will be released weekly. Our Diamond Notes will highlight other players nominated by high school coaches that are deserving of recognition that were not named Player of the Week.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

One of the top two-ways in the area, '26 LHP/1B Ari Silva out of McClatchy High School put on a display of talent this past week at the plate, and on the mound. After a hectic start of hitting the first four batters of the game, and a throwing error, the lefty was able to settle in and throw four innings of no-hit baseball. Silva was 3-3 at the plate along with adding two doubles. The McClatchy Lions ended up winning the game 5-3. 

We salute senior, Ari Silva on earning the Prep Baseball Report California NorCal Player of the Week.
