On Thursday, January 2nd, the PB California staff traveled to JSerra High School in San Juan Capistrano, CA, to host the Orange County Preseason ID, an open event for the class of 2025-2028.

Nearly 60 players made their way to JSerra this past weekend and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

TOP OUTFIELD PROSPECTS

1. Tommy Burke, Dana Hills High (CA), 2026
Positional Profile: OF
Body: 6-2, 195 pounds. Strong frame with present strength.
Hit: LHH. Even stance with hands away from back shoulder. Wide base, weight rests on back leg. Short swing to the ball and through the zone. 66.7 mph bat speed with 19g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 98 mph max exit velocity (79.4 avg.); 367-foot max batted distance. Higher launch angle that produces a lot of fly balls.
Arm: OF - 74.00 mph. Three quarters release across the infield.
Defense: Calm footwork progressing through the play.
Athletic Testing: 7.56 runner in the 60-yard dash; Short, low strides.
