On Saturday, January 4th, the PB California staff traveled to Maranatha Christian High School in San Diego, CA, to host the San Diego Preseason All-State, an invite-only event for the class of 2025-2028.

Nearly 60 players made their way to Maranatha this past weekend and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball California staff.

1. Joseph Flores Jr. SS / RHP / Arlington, CA / 2027

Positional Profile: SS/RHP
Body: 5-10, 168 pounds.
Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, low hands, long stride, loose. Strong hands, flat path, quick bat, barrels the ball. 71.4 mph bat speed with 9g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 mph max exit velocity (89.4 avg.); 324-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 88.00 mph. Compact, low 3/4 slot, quick arm, ball carries.
Defense: Athletic, agile, smooth gather with a quick transfer.
Athletic Testing: 7.27 runner in the 60-yard dash.
