At The Yard Podcast: New Episode LIVE now!

Los Angeles, Calif. - Each week during the high school season we will announce the SoCal Player of the Week covering the action from the previous week. Numerous players across the state continue to put up impressive numbers both as position players and pitchers on the mound. This year we will be selecting one Player of the Week based on recommendations from high school coaches from Southern California. 

Continuing from previous seasons, we will also be highlighting others players from across the state in our Prep Baseball California Diamond Notes that will be released weekly. Our Diamond Notes will highlight other players nominated by high school coaches that are deserving of recognition that were not named Player of the Week.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

2027 3B/RHP Tyler Brereton of Arcadia High School has been named the SoCal Player of the Week for Week One of the high school baseball season. Brereton was a force offensively for the Apaches who moved to the championship game of the Pizza Chalet Tournament. Through the first three games of the tournament, Brerenton was 6-for-9 with a double, a triple, and a home run with two RBI and four runs scored. Brereton also chipped in on the mound throwing one scoreless inning of relief that included one strikeout. 

We salute sophomore, Tyler Brereton, on earning the Prep Baseball California SoCal Player of the Week.
