Ventura, Calif. - The Uncommitted Spotlight Series returns as we are ramping into full scale regular season mode with the 2025 CIF High School baseball underway for the '25 class as they look to close their high school careers with a bang. With than in mind Prep Baseball California is highlighting some of the top uncommitted class of '25 athletes for college programs to be following come this spring. The player featured today has been a standout on the Prep Baseball California event platform including most recently the 2025 Prep Baseball California Inland Empire Preseason All State.
We invite you to get to know them through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts both through our in person looks at players and/or the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, and VALD Performance provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.
Today, we put the spotlight on a talented uncommitted product in the 2025 class in SoCal '25 RHP Noah Aguilar-Tanphanich from St. Francis High School in La Canada, Calif.. Aguilar-Tahnphanic made a strong appearance at the 2025 Inland Empire Preseason All State and has backed up that outing with a strong start to his SR. campaign.
During his appearances at the 2025 Inland Empire Preseason All State he showed off a 87-88 MPH FB that peaked at 89.3 MPH during his outing and showed an interesting shape with upwards of 20.4" of IVB while averaging just over 15" of IVB during his outing with solid present spin rates in the 2100+ RPM range at its peak. He threw the FB from a 4'8" release height with 6' of extension on average. His CHG presently looks to be the top secondary coming in at 79-81 MPH with effective feel to kill spin coming in around 1400 RPMs on average with some tumble/fade to its shape. Aguilar-Tahnphanich throws the CHG from a 4'6" release height with 6'1" of extension giving it a similar look to his FB coming out of the hand. The SLD flashes potential with more of a sweeping style shape coming in at around 78 MPH with -11.3" of horizontal break to the glove side and feel to throw it for strikes (100% in zone rate). Control can improve for Aguilar-Tanphanich, but the profile is solid with an interesting upside as he continues to mature.
Starting off his 2025 SR. campaign the St. Francis righthander is fronting their staff with a team leading 12 innings over four different appearances in a variety of roles while posting a present 1-1 record and 3.50 ERA. He has struck out 11 hitters in those 12 innings at present. Looking the part of a vital piece of the Knights rotation as they look to follow up a 2024 CIF-SS D4 title game appearance college programs would be wise to keeping eyes on Noah Aguilar-Tahnphanich for their 2025 recruiting classes as a solid late pickup on the mound.
