Ventura, Calif. - The Uncommitted Spotlight Series takes a dive back into the 2025 class as this class is inching closer to their final seasons of High School baseball there are still several talented uncommitted players in this class who our staff has had the opportunity to see compete. Our player today is featured within our Class of 2025 rankings and is one of the top uncommitted players left in the state for that class.

We invite you to get to know the players featured here through the eyes of our Prep Baseball California staff of scouts both through our in person looks at players and/or the data-backed numbers collected at our events with our partnered companies. TrackMan, Blast Motion, and Swift Performance provide comparable data to project and evaluate players. All of these systems come together to give a clear picture at what colleges will get when a players steps onto their campus.

Today, we put our focus on the Southern California scene for a look at the number 142 ranked player for 2025 in '25 SS Noah Solano from Eastlake High School out of San Diego. Solano previously was verbally committed to Hawaii before reopening his recruitment headed into his JR. season. This past spring for Eastlake Solano had a solid spring season slashing .340/.441/.480 while collecting 4 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run, posting a 9 BB/ 3 K ratio, drove in 8 runs and scored 17 runs himself while stealing 15 bases. Before heading out and continuing to hit at a high level during the summer and fall travel/showcase circuit including a turn playing for Team California at the Prep Baseball West Coast Games.

Defensively, his present actions are among the better ones in California that project to stick at the SS position long term. He moves with athleticism, shows body control, can play laterally/downhill with both 2 and 1 hand, shows feel to throw from multiple slots with accuracy/carry and the strength to handle SS. Solano is a good athlete who posted a 6.92 60 time during the West Coast Games

The RH hitter has a wiry lean athletic build at 5'10 and 140 lbs and during BP has showcased a quality swing with some good metrics. Solano shows an accurate swing with contact oriented bat speed that peaked at 64.9 MPH which suits his gap to gap approach with ability to spray the ball on a line drive plane that shows pull side lift. He demonstrates quickness to his hands and the ability to use them in the swing averaging 21.2 MPH of hand speed and peaking at 22.4 MPH during the West Coast Games. His turn is solid with present ability to build up to his top bat speed with a peak of 18.1 Gs of max rotational acceleration while averaging11.0 Gs. The foundation of a compact swing with an accurate barrel played into the quality of his batted ball data during batting practice. Solano peaked at 92.7 MPH on his exit velocity while averaging 87.7 MPH during his batting practice at West Coast Games. As well, he posted a 36% hard hit rate with a max distance of 325'. Solano looks the part of a top of the order tablesetter with his high school stats showing plate discipline and speed, but adds enough impact to drive the ball to the middle of the field/pull side while showing room to improve his power by adding strength to his wiry lean present frame.

Solano figures again to be a prominent piece of the Eastlake High lineup for his SR. campaign where he will look to build upon his solid JR. campaign facing off against top level competition in the San Diego area. With a SS defensive profile and potential top of the order offensive ability there is plenty to like about Solano and he can be a very good grab in the recruiting process for a college program to add to their 2025 class
