The 4th annual Centennial State Games put on by Prep Baseball Report Colorado concluded yesterday with 64 in the 16U and 15U levels competing up and down the Front Range. The 16U Bracket wrapped up yesterday with three great games played at Highlands Ranch High School.

The 16U Centennial State Games 16U Championship featured two teams from the Slammers organization and both coming in with a 5-0 record in the tournament.  Slammers Asnicar Started quickly putting up 4 runs in the bottom of the first inning.  Ezekial Dokes got the ball for Asnicar in the championship game and went 4 strong innings.  In the second and third inning he worked out of bases loaded jams.  Dokes finshed the day with 4 inning spitched allowing 5 hits and 4 earned runs.  Cord Kringlen 2021 playing for Slammers Bote drove Dokes from the game with a bases clearing double in the 5th inning to bring the score to 9-5.  Kringlen finished the day 2-3 with 4 RBI.  Slammers Asnicar answered in the bottom of the 5th inning plating 4 runs to run the score to 13-5 and winning the championship.  Derrick Geist, Connor Wolf and Yair Caldera all collected had a multiple hit game in the championship.  Slammers Asnicar finished the tournament 6-0.
