The Colorado high school season is nearing quickly, and we're here to cover it. Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we'll publish our team previews ahead of the 2023 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, leading into a countdown through the official PBR Colorado Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

OUTLOOK:
The Monte Vista Pirates are a 2A Colorado baseball program looking to compete in the Southern Peaks League in 2023. This team saw eight seniors graduate after last spring, but coach Luke Bradshaw likes how he is reloading with young talent. The Pirates do have Andrew Chavez returning as a senior, and he should be a big threat at the plate while potentially being able to help carry the team on the mound. If the Pirates can get some immediate production out of their youth, we could see them finish with a winning season in 2023.
