Prep Baseball Colorado Staff

The Colorado high school baseball season kicks off on March 6th, opening day for regular season action under CHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Colorado Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

2025 SEASON OUTLOOK:

The Falcons are coming off of a tough 2024 season, but they do return nearly all of their impact players for 2025 along with a transfer addition in senior RHP Noah Mortenson. The core of this offense revolves around #1 ranked 2025 prospect Trevor Gottsegen and senior Ayden Wells who both hit above .410 last year with a combined 20 extra-base hits and 22 stolen bases. Gottsegen just attended the Prep Baseball Super 60 event where he showcased a 6.34 60-yard dash time (3rd fastest in event history), a 96 mph top exit velocity, and a 95 mph outfield throwing velocity. The top of this rotation could be strong this spring as coach Hatcher has Jackson Tuttle, Noah Mortenson, Thomas Healy, and Garrett Williams to deploy. Both Tuttle and Mortenson come with a fastball around 90 mph and plenty of pitchability.
