The Colorado high school baseball season kicks off on March 6th, opening day for regular season action under CHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down through the official Prep Baseball Colorado Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

2025 SEASON OUTLOOK:

Mullen has a good mix of sophomores, juniors, and seniors who should contribute this season. This team is led by two-way prospect Thomas Stewart who is committed to the University of Virginia to continue his baseball career. Stewart comes with plenty of higher level feel on the mound and a fastball in the 90s to go with an impact bat. Behind Stewart, Mullen has some intriguing arms in Andrews, Stanford, and Jake Clark which should provide depth on the mound for coach Philip Stanford. The sophomore class looks poised for some quality varsity time this season, and if they are able to produce we could see Mullen make plenty of noise in 2025. The Mustangs always have a loaded schedule for a 4A team as they play numerous tough 5A teams this spring like; Castle View, Broomfield, Regis Jesuit, Grandview, Cherry Creek, and Cherokee Trail.
