Caleb Dameron
Prep Baseball Colorado Staff

On February 2nd, the Prep Baseball Colorado staff hosted this year's Denver Preseason ID at Prospects Park in Englewood, Colorado. This event featured ~40 prospects from the 2025-2028 classes and allowed our staff an opportunity to get an in-depth look at the players in attendance. Today, we continue our post-event coverage with this 'Quick Hits' story.

QUICK HITS:

Keaton Maiorana RHP / RHP / Mountain Vista, CO / 2026

Keaton is over 6'5'' and comes with some athletic levers that helped him produce a fastball up to 94 mph during this year's Denver Preseason ID. The arsenal from Keaton consists of a four-seamer from 90-94 (~2,500 rpm), a sinker around 89 mph, a curveball (~2,600 rpm), and a changeup. Keaton has a whippy arm action and moves exceptionally well down the mound for his size. There is also plenty of natural deception in his delivery with a slightly lower 3/4 arm slot. If the Mountain Vista junior can keep his electric stuff in the zone this spring, he could be a quick mover up the 2026 rankings.

Ryan Neumann RHP / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2027

Another arm you won't want to miss out on for 2025 is right-hander Ryan Neumann. Going into his sophomore year, Neumann just touched 92 mph at Sunday's event with the ability to land a strong curveball (~2,350 rpm) consistently in the zone. Neumann also flashed feel of his changeup that sat around 79-80 mph with an average spin rate of 1,550 rpm. Regis Jesuit has no shortage of impact arms, but at 6'5'' and 200 Ibs with elite stuff, Neumann has a chance to be yet another break-out on the mound this spring and summer.

Sawyer Tipton RHP / OF / Mountain Vista, CO / 2026

Mountain Vista will have a slew of arm talent for this spring thanks to another arm in Sawyer Tipton coming in with a 90.4 mph max fastball velocity from Sunday's event. Tipton is 6'1'' with a physically athletic frame and quality feel for spin on the mound to go with his above average velocity. The fastball on Tipton sits from 87-90 mph (~2,400 rpm) with a swing and miss slider at 76-77 mph (~2,600 rpm), and a changeup around 81-82 mph. Tipton does a great job keeping a consistent arm action on all of his pitches.

Dylan Langstaff LHP / 1B / Douglas County, CO / 2027

Don't let the right-handers at 90+ mph distract you from the fact that Colorado's #1 ranked LHP out of the 2027 class was up to over 87 mph with some quality all-around stuff in this event. Langstaff has been one of the highest ranked young prospects for a few years now, and this could be where we start to really see his ceiling come to life. The 6'3'' Douglas County southpaw has a controlled delivery that has helped him dominate with four real pitches in his four-seamer, slider, curveball, and changeup. What is really intriguing from Langstaff this time around is the spike in his spin rates as his curveball was nearly maxed at 2,700 rpm, his slider around 2,600, and his fastball from 2,200-2,300 rpm. There is also some two-way upside from Langstaff with his 98 mph max exit velocity and a max batted ball distance of 373 ft. from this event.

Advait Jadhav RHP / Mountain Vista, CO / 2027

Advait continues to get better each time we see him, and during the Denver Preseason ID he posted a fastball up to 86.3 mph with plenty of pitchability. This is another Mountain Vista right-hander who could be in the mix for innings in 2025 and the underclassman knows how to pound the strikezone. We have consistently seen Advait be able to throw all three of his fastball, slider, and changeup all over the zone in both a showcase and in-game setting. Advait is 6'1'' / 190 Ibs and certainly a young prospect to keep a watch on in 2025.

Brady Wright 3B / RHP / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2027

Wright is an actively developing two-way prospect who impresses each time we see him. This time around, Wright was able to produce a 95 mph top exit velocity, a 73 mph bat speed, an 87 mph infield throwing velocity, and touched 85 mph off the mound. The Regis Jesuit infielder comes with smooth hands at the plate and hitter-ish vibes while he holds some feel for spin on the mound thanks to his curveball coming in at over 2,700 rpm. The tools on Wright just keep getting better, and he has a chance to be an impact player within Colorado in 2025.

Madan Stack C / 3B / Cherry Creek, CO / 2027

Stack has made a strong jump since the last time we saw him with his now 95 mph top exit velocity. The 6'2'' Cherry Creek underclassman has some developing tools as a catcher and also some two-way upside. In this event, Stack had one of the better overall rounds of batting practice with the ability to launch with some loose and whippy hands. Stack was also controlled behind the plate with a quick transfer and delivery to second base on throw-downs. On the mound, Stack used his long levers to produce some projectability and a fastball up to 84 mph.

Mason Brennan SS / RHP / Northfield, CO / 2026

Brennan is another athletic two-way prospect who caught attention from this event. The Northfield junior was able to get up to a 94 mph exit velocity with a 74 mph bat speed, and an 80 mph infield throwing velocity on Sunday. Brennan has a simple swing with quick and quality hands at the plate and some advanced defensive feel at shortstop. On the mound, Brennan ramped the fastball up to 82 mph with a curveball and slider he could spin around 2,700 rpm. Certainly an uncommitted name to note for 2025.

Nick Taglione SS / 2B / Ponderosa, CO / 2028

Taglione was one of the biggest overall winners with the bat in this event, even as a freshman. The Ponderosa infielder comes in at 5'11'' and 163 Ibs with some twitchy/athletic actions. We saw Taglione produce a max exit velocity in this event at 97.1 mph with plenty of leverage from his lower half and a consistent bat path. Taglione also held his own in the infield with some smooth defensive mechanics and a developing arm.
