The 5280 Showcase took place on Sunday, November 7 at Rock Canyon High School and the event featured over 35 prospects from all high school classes, including ten unsigned seniors. There was a great turnout from Colorado’s 2024-2026’s. The event gave prospects one more opportunity before our Colorado winter. The November weather did not disappoint and neither did our prospects.

5280 SHOWCASE QUICK HITS - 2023 arms

 

Bradley Feezer RHP / 1B / Cheyenne Central, WY / 2023 Rankings  StateRank: 23 / POS: 8 Big 6-foot-6, 227-pound right-hander. Feezer’s best days are ahead. Previous PBR Colorado events had Bradley’s velo up to 85.6. At the 5280 Showcase his fastball topped at 84.1. He continues to refine mechanical movements. High leg kick with great balance. Creates coil to falling delivery. Extended stride with over the top release. Clean and loose follow-through. 12/6 curveball 73-75 with spin rate of 2311. Changeup 74-77. Continues to make positive advancements in his development. Very high ceiling.

Mason Matherly RHP / RHP / Valor Christian, CO / 2023 Rankings  StateRank: 122 / POS: 25 Lean, long body frame. Composed, simple delivery.  Front step to leg lift, creates slight coil with good tempo to over the top release. Fundamentally sound.  FB 82.1 and consistently in the strike zone. Curveball 66 had 12/6 action. Changeup 69-71 with good arm speed. Many pieces in place, strength will benefit Mason. Projectable velocity coming.

 

Top players from this event will have opportunities to be invited to future invite-only events such as the PBR Colorado Preseason All-State, the PBR Future Games and the PBR Junior Future Games.
