5280 Spotlight Trenton Rowan Riser in the 2022 Class

5280 SPOTLIGHT

 

Trenton Rowan is a Colorado athlete ready for his season to kick off.  After impressive off season workouts and gains, Trenton is a Riser in our 2022 class.  2 PBR Events (12-12-20 Colorado Recruits Scout Day and 1-23-2021 Area ID Series), the LHH has narrow open stance. Does a good job staying on his backside. Has started to create great rotational acceleration.  Quick Hands produce Exit Velo 99+.  Shows strength with potential power.  Big size and strength gains.  7.09 60, has athleticism in the OF.   Strong arm, he shows potential as RHP with a FB 84+.   LOTS of potential for Trenton.  This Colorado player continues trending UP.

Scouting Report

Side step to pivot, Swing to lift, Knee is waist high with body in slight coil. Some dip/drive delivery. Open toe stride, slightly closed. High shorter arc on back side, 3⁄4 release. Minimal glove side leverage, good push through on stride to create torso rotation. Aggressive delivery FB 79-81 potential with some ASR SL 68-70 Good 10/4 action with gradual break. CH 73 Attacking arm speed. Projectable Velo in the future. Good developing arm!!

Positional Profile: 1B
Body: 6’2” 180
Run: 7.51
Hit: (LHH) Narrow open stance to start, back foot is slightly turned in , has a small toe tap to stride to get back to neutral. Does a good job staying on his backside. Hands start low and raise on toe tap, does a good job getting through the ball, has a slightly upward swing allowing him to hit for power, finishes with one hand. Athletic left-handed hitter with an aggressive swing. Has a big upside. Exit Velo: 87
Power: Pull power.
Arm: Arm Velo 76. Throws from a low ¾ arm slot. Has a smooth arm action with good carry.
Defense: Showed very good feel in the infield, has soft hand with a clean transfer allowing him to have a quick release. Receives the ball out in front of his body. Will add velo across the infield when he matures.
