John Cackowski
Director of Scouting

PBR Colorado strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Scouting Report

1-28-18
5-foot-11, 180 pounds. Kenny continues to improve every time we see him. Shows some power potential at the plate and gets his money's worth. 87 mph exit velocity with pull power. Open stance, big leg kick trigger, solid balance. Uphill swing path with good extension out front. Good receiver behind the plate and had the strongest arm at 77 mph. Has a long release, might benefit from shortening up. Quiet hands while receiving and good athletic actions on balls in the dirt.  Pop times were 2.10-2.13.

10-1-17
5-foot-10. 170-pound right hand hitting C/INF who ran a 7.80 60.  At the plate he is balanced and tall.  He starts slightly open and uses a long stride to load and come square.  He has smooth mechanics and and a slightly uphill swing path.  During the weekend he had several hard hit balls and finished with 2 extra base hits.  Behind the plate he is fundamentally sound and shows good skill in handling a pitcher.  He shows quick reflexes when blocking and a quick transfer on the throw down to second base.  Pop-times were consistently 2.10.

Has slight hesitation on throw downs to 2B. For this event Kenny was 2.2 on throw downs but we have had at 2.10 in live action off a pitcher. Arm velo was 70 mph.
