The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

In an early season match up of tow of the better 5A teams in Colorado, Riley Cornelio, Pine Creek showed a dominant pitching performance for 6 innings, allowing just four hits and striking out 7 and walking only two.   

On offense Justin Olson had a two RBI single in the 6th inning, catcher Braden Dedrick had two hits with a double and a single, and Jay Onken had a double and an RBI single.

Daily Round up:

Lamar 7 Sterling 6
The Savages get the win and were led by Dalton Chandler who threw 4.2 innings collecting 6 strikeouts and Davin Jacobs who went 2-5 with 1 run and 2 RBI in the victory.

Fruita 16 Greeley Central 5
The Wildcats collected 20 hits as a team and were led by Tyler Boggs who went 3-4 with 2 runs and 3 RBI and Zach Rush who was 4-4 with 2 runs scored.

Chatfield 16 Wheat Ridge 2
The Chargers come out swinging early in the season and saw big days from Griffin Moss who was 1-2 with 1 run, 3 RBI and a double and Luke LaChance who was 2-4 with 2 runs, 3 RBI and 2 triples.

Fredrick 13 Arvada 6
Trevor Hazlett led the way fro Fredrick in the victory going 2-4 with 2 runs and 1 RBI on the day.

Eaton 10 Weld Central 4
The Reds are off to a good start putting up 10 runs and were led by Jared Ure who was 2-4 with 1 RBI and Jake Sandau who was 3-4 with 1 run scored and 1 RBI.

Chaparral 12 Columbine 6

The Wolverines get the early non-league victory and were led by Kellen Peat who was 3-5 with 2 runs scored, 3 RBI and 1 homerun and Zack Munn who added a homerun and went 2-4 with 1 run and 2 RBI.  The Rebels were paced by Matt Anderson who was 2-4 with 2 RBI.

Cherry Creek 8 Ralston Valley 4
The Bruins saw three players rack up 2 RBI each, Tyler Schultz, Brice Martinez and Tanner O’Tremba.  Schultz also added a homerun in the victory.  Jack Moss was on the mound for 5 strong innings allowing 2 hits and striking out 4.
