The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Rocky Mountain 3 Broomfield 2

In a big league game on Thursday, Rocky Mountain came out on top.  Going into the bottom of the 5th, Rocky Mountain was down 2 to 0, but the pushed 1 run across in the 5th, and then in the 7th, they scored 2 runs to win the game.  The Lobos were led by pitcher 2019 Fort Hays State commit Jake Campbell who threw a complete game allowing just 6 hits, 2 runs and 8 strikeouts.  In addition, 2019 Ben Knauer who was 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

Grandview 7 Eaglecrest 1

The Wolves stayed hot beating up on Eaglecrest on Thursday.  The Wolves put the game out of reach in the 4th by scoring 4 runs.  Eaglecrest’s on run came in the top of the 7th.  Pitching for the Wolves was 2019 Josh Hojnowski who went 5 innings allowing just 2 hits, 0 runs, and had 8 K’s.  At the plate for the Wolves 2020 Tony Castonguay had a great day going 2 for 4 with 3 RBI’s.

Arapahoe 5 Cherokee Trail 4

Cherokee Trail was leading the game 4 to 1 after 3 innings, but then Arapahoe scored 1 in the bottom of the 4th and added another 3 in the bottom of the 5th to beat the Cougars on Thursday.  Arapahoe was led by 2019 Cooper Marks who was 2 for 3 with an RBI.  For the Cougars 2020 Cade Simpson was 1 for 2 with 2 RBI’s.  2021 Chris Albee came in to pitch for the Warriors and went 4 innings, giving up only 1 hit, and 0 runs. 

Columbine 12 Chatfield 1

The score does not tell how close this game was until the bottom of the 6th.  Going into that inning the score as 4 to 1 Columbine, but then in the bottom of the 6th the Rebels blew it open by scoring 8 runs.  Columbine’s 2020 Brady McLean had a monster day going 4 for 4 with 4 RBI’s and 2020 Dylan Davis was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI’s.  On the mound was 2020 Joel Basile who went 6 innings and only allowed the 1 earned run.

Legacy 5 Mountain Range 1

With the game tied at 1 going into the bottom of the 5th, Legacy’s bats got hot scoring 4 runs in that inning and went on to win 5 to 1.  Pitching for Legacy was 2019 Dylan Grierson was went 7 innings allowing 6 hits, 1 earned run and 4 K’s.  At the plate, 2019 Blake Labuda was 2 for 3 with an RBI.

Horizon 5 Loveland 2

In an important league game on Thursday, Horizon came out on top.  Trailing 2 to 1 going into the bottom half of the 4th, Horizon came to life and scored 4 runs, and then shut down Loveland from there on out.  Horizon was led by, 2019 Avery Benis who was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s, and on the mound by 2019 J. Wangaard who went 6 innings, allowing 6 hits, and 2 earned runs.

 

 

 

Valor 5 Pomona 0

Valor came out early leading the game 3 to 0 after 2 innings, and then added another 2 in the top of the 6th to put the game away.  Valor’s 2019 Rafe Kinder was 2 for 4 with 3 RBI’s, and pitchers 2021 Ben Whipple, 2020 Nicholas Meyer, and 2022 Braeden Lock combined for a 2 hit shutout, with 12 K’s.  2021 Ben Whipple threw 4 innings of no hit baseball and had 6 K’s.

Windsor 5 Holy Family 1

Windsor never trailed in this game, scoring 2 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd, and another 2 in the top of the 4th to beat Holy Family on Thursday.  Windsor was led by 2019 Tanner Rogers who was 3 for 3 with 2 RBI’s, and 2019 Derek Baessler who was 1 for 4, but his 1 hit was a bomb.

Cheyenne Mountain 13 Falcon 5

Cheyenne Mountain stayed hot beating up on Falcon Thursday.  Cheyenne Mountain’s 2019 Aaron Berkoff had a monster day at the plate hitting 2 jacks, going 3 for 4 scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 runs as well.

Mullen 3 Smoky Hill 1

The game was tied at 1 a piece after 5 innings, but the Mullen in the top of the 6th scored 2 runs and then held on to win 3 to 1 in this important league game. Mullen’s 2019 Garden City CC commit Brennen Nolte led the way at the plate going 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s, and on the mound 2019 Will Miller threw a complete game allowing just 3 hits to go along with 12 strikeouts.

Douglas County 3 Rock Canyon 1

Douglas County beat Rock Canyon in a very important league game on Thursday.  Douglas County was led by starter 2020 Santa Clara commit Case Williams who went 5 innings allowing 3 hits 1 earned run and 7 K’s, 2019 Murphy Gienger came in and pitched the last 2 innings allowing just 1 hit and 2 K’s.  Murphy Gienger also got after it at the plate going 2 for 3 with an RBI.
