PBR Colorado strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

Game 1
Mountain Vista 5 Rocky Mountain 0
The Golden Eagles opened their title defense with a commanding win over Rocky Mountain and were led by, Matt Klein who was 2-3 with 1 run and 2 RBI and Grant Magill who went 2-3.  Sam Ireland took the mound and went 7 strong innings allowing 6 hits, 1 run and struck out 5.

Game 2
Grandview 4 Legacy 1
The Wolves who many argue are the hottest team in the state right now took down Legacy in a game that was closer than the score would indicate. Amari Smith led the way for Grandview going 2-3 at the plate with 3 RBI.  Peter Goldy did the rest going 1-3 with 1 run and 1 RBI while also tossing 7 innings of 4 hit ball allowing 1 run and striking out 7.

Game 3
Grandview 7 Mountain Vista 6
The Wolves went up against the other Colorado team that many would argue was the hottest entering the State Final 8 and took down the defending 5A State Champion. This game was back and forth with teams matching each other’s runs in almost every inning. The Wolves were led by Josh Hojnowski who went 2-4 with 2 runs, 2 RBI 1 double and a 2-run blast that put Grandview up for good in the top of the 7th. Ty Chapman added a 2-2 day with 1 run and 1 RBI. Mountain Vista was led by Clay Burke who got the Eagles on the scoreboard with a towering blast and was 1-3 with 1 run and 1 RBI and Drew Stahl who went 3-4 with 2 runs, 3 RBI and 1 homerun.

Game 1
Cherry Creek 5 Heritage 1

The Bruins found themselves in a familiar place once again at the end of May competing in the 5A State Playoffs. Game one saw Ben Perla go 3-3 with 2 RBI and Clay Cutter add a 2-2 day with 1 run and 2 RBI for Cherry Creek.  Nathan Mitchell kept Heritage quiet all day going all 7 innings allowing 6 hits, 1 run and struck out 5.

Game 2
Regis Jesuit 7 Chaparral 0
Regis comes in to the Final 8 with a deep rotation and big bats and both were on display in this Final 8 Game. Caden Wagner was 1-2 at the plate with 2 runs, 1 RBI and 1 homerun while Geno Macias went 1-1 with 1 run, 1 RBI and 1 double on the day. Patrick Strawbridge took the mound going 4.1 strong innings allowing 2 hits and 0 runs before giving way to Bradshaw Willis who finished the game going 2.2 innings allowing 3 hits and 0 runs.

Game 3
Regis Jesuit 6 Cherry Creek 3
The Raiders advance to Saturday’s undefeated game by taking down Cherry Creek in a game that saw the two teams combine for 9 runs on 8 hits and surrender 14 walks between them.  The Raiders were led by Mark Perchiazzi who went 1-3 with 1 run, 3 RBI and big 3 run homerun. Chase Allan came on in relief to go 5 innings of shutout ball allowing 2 hits and struck out 8 while walking 4. The Bruins were led by Jack Moss who went 1-2 with 1 RBI and a double and Brice Martinez who went 1-3 with 1 run, 1 RBI and a triple.
