It was an up and down weather week, but several teams worked around it and got their games in.  Here is a look at action from this weekend.

Daily Roundup:

Friday:

Chatfield 11 Douglas County 7
The Chargers with the non-league win and were led by Aaron Ross who was 1-3 with 2 RBI.

Grandview 10 Highlands Ranch 0
The Wolves with a big non-league win over the Falcons and were led by Jackson Vanzee who went 3-3 with 3 runs scored and 1 RBI.

Green Mountain 9 Arvada West 6
The Rams with a Jeffco win and saw a top performance from Thomas Lyall who went 2-3 with 2 runs and 2 RBI.

Mountain Vista 10 Dakota Ridge 0
A non-league matchup of two hot teams sees the Golden Eagles prevail and were led by Cole Blatchford who went 2-4 with 2 runs and 3 RBI.

Cherry Creek 12 Cherokee Trail 5
The Bruins get a Centennial League win over the Cougars.  Cherry Creek was led by Tanner O’Tremba who went 2-2 with 1 run, 4 RBI and 1 homerun.

Brighton 5 Prairie View 0
The Bulldogs stay hot against rival Prairie View.  They were led by Cody Beck who was 3-3 with 2 runs scored.

ThunderRidge 1 Broomfield 0
It was a battle of arms in this one, Quincy Ulrich going for T-Ridge and James Notary going for Broomfield.  The game lived up to the billing seeing Ulrich go 7 innings giving up 1 hit and striking out 10 and Notary going 7 innings giving up 3 hits and striking out 12.  T-Ridge prevailed in the 8th plating 1 run and winning 1-0.

Saturday:

Rocky Mountain 13 Fort Collins 6
The Lobos were leading 7 to 6 after 3 innings and then went on the add 3 in the 5th and 3 in the 7th to beat the Lampkins 13 to 6. 

Legacy 11 Fossil Ridge 2
Legacy exploded in the first two innings scoring 6 and 4 runs respectively, and then went on to beat Fossil Ridge on Saturday.  The Lightning were led by, Bradon O’Connor  who went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and Colby Deaville  who went 1 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

Longmont 8 Silver Creek 5
With the game tied 5 to 5 after 6 innings the Trojans scored 3 winning runs in the top of the 7th.  Longmont’s Dagin Renck was 2 for 4 with 3 driven in, Avery Peterson was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI’s and Noah Befus was 1 for 2 driving in another 2 runs.  For the Raptors, they were led by, George Ramirez who went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s.

Mountain Vista 4 Arvada West 2
Sam Ireland went 3 for 4 for Mountain Vista, and pitcher Cole Blatchford threw a great game, going 7 innings allowing just 4 hits to go with 9 strikeouts. 

Heritage 16 Chatfield 0
The Eagles scored 5 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd, and 9 in the 4 to beat the Chargers on Saturday.  The Eagles were led by Riley Egloff who went 3 for 3 with 4 RBI’s and Jacob Hilton went 2-4 with 2 RBI’s.  Pitching for the Eagles, starter, Jacob Hilton threw 4 innings allowing only 2 hits to go with 4 K’s.

Ponderosa 5 Evergreen 2
Ponderosa was leading 3 to 2 going into the 6th and added 1 run in both the 6th and the 7th innings to beat Evergreen on Saturday.  The Mustangs pitcher Sam Beecher threw 6 innings allowing only 1 earned run, to go along with 10 strike outs.  Offensively, the Mustangs were led by Peyton Ingalls who went 4 for 4 with 2 RBI’s and Austin Narro who was 2 for 3 with 2 RBI’s.

Eaglecrest 10 Pomona 9
In a back and forth game, and with the game tied 9 to 9 after 7 innings, the Raptors finally scored a run in the bottom of the 9th to win this non-league contest.  The Raptors hit 3 home runs one each for Garrett Tisdall, Zach Sulyma, and Tyler Mills.  The Panthers Garrett Zanon had 2 home runs.

Mullen 14 Lakewood 1
The Mustangs get the win and were led by Rocco Porreco who went 2-3 with 4 RBI and Jake Barr who was 1-3 with 2 runs and 3 RBI.
Pine Creek 14 Coronado 1
The Eagles with a big win and were led by Toby Scoles who was 3-5 with 2 runs and 2 RBI and Zac Heisler who went 2-3 with 3 runs and 2 RBI.  Riley Cornelio went 6 innings allowing 4 hits and struck out 11.
