Daily Roundup 4/15

Pine Creek 22 Coronado 10
The Eagles get back to back wins and were led offensively by Rhett Baldry who went 4-6 with 3 runs and 5 RBI and Peter McEvoy with a 4-5 day, 3 runs and 2 RBI.  Tyler Matheny contributed with a 2-5 day and 3 runs.  Payton Skur, who went 3-4 with 2 runs and 2 RBI to lead Coronado.

Valor Christian 7 Green Mountain 3
The Eagles get a 4A Jeffco League win led by Blake Donels, 2-4 with 2 runs, Brady Opp who went 2-4 with 1 run and 3 RBI and on the mound by, Luke McNary who went 4 innings, giving up 5 hits, 0 ER and striking out 4.  The Rams saw Reid Effrein go 3-4 with 1 RBI on the day. 

Eaton 15 St Mary’s 1
The Reds continue to roll as we move past the halfway mark of the season, being led by Brady Tedesco, 1-2 with 3RBI and a triple, Ryan Koehler, 1-2, 3 runs and 1 RBI and Joe Kuhn who went 2-2 with 1 run and 3 RBI.

A low scoring Continental League game saw the Titans come away with the win and were led by Issac Rincones, who went 2-3 with 2 runs, 1 RBI and a double and Greg Pickett, who had a 1-3 day with 1 RBI and a double.  Casey Opitz led the way for the Eagles going 1-2 with 1 run and a triple. 

Chaparral 5 ThunderRidge 3
The Wolverines get a big league win and saw Alec Ackerman go 2-3 with 1 run and Brandon Delay go 2-2 with 2 runs and 1 RBI on the day.  Aaron Germani led the way for the Grizzlies going 2-4 at the plate with 1 run and a triple. 

Highlands Ranch 12 Ponderosa 11
The Falcons keep pace near the top with this Continental League win and were led by Nick Shumpert who went 2-4, with 1 run and a triple and Andrew Liffrig who was 1-3 on the day with 2 runs, 4 RBI and a game changing grand slam in the Falcons 8 run 4th inning that changed the game.  Ponderosa’s offense was sparked by, Dane Grounds who was 2-4 with 1 run and 1 RBI and Matt Kruse who went 2-4 with 2 RBI.

Mountain Vista 15 vs. Castleview 11
The Golden Eagles offense dominated in this game getting 16 hits, and 3 homeruns, one each from seniors Marc Mumper, Will Dixon, and junior Cooper Shearon. Shearon and senior Brandon Formby would lead the Golden Eagles with 3 RBI's. Junior Hayden Smith would lead the way for the Sabercats  going 3-4
