MOUNTAIN VISTA 11, CHATFIELD 5 (4.4)

2022 RHP Christian Foutch, Chatfield HS (Arkansas commit)
Christian is an athletic RHP with a great pitcher's body and an outstanding right arm. His fast ball has some boring action and he maintained velocity throughout at 91-93 touching 94. He has an over the top east delivery with a slider that sat at around 85-87 , and a devastating split finger that stayed between 82-85 with sharp, late breaking action, depth and good vertical movement. The split is an outstanding swing and miss pitch. Christian has the command to throw all three pitches for strikes and attacks the strike zone. His ability to throw with velocity and then to have plus a breaking ball which should provide him an opportunity for great success at the next level. A clean delivery and repeatable mechanics should are a plus.

2024 RHP/1B Brady Snow, Chatfield HS (Uncommitted)
Brady is a big, strong, athletic 2024 who showed great presence at the plate. He hit balls hard in almost every at bat, using the entire field and hitting a laser home run to right field and then a double to left field.  He exhibits good bat speed and balance which allows him to hit with power to all fields and prove to have a big future in front of him as an offensive force.

2022 C Blake Young, Mountain Vista HS (UC-Santa Barbara commit)
Blake is a solidly built catcher who is an outstanding receiver who is a fearless thrower who shows a good arm, good footwork, blocks well and has the ability to throw well to all bases, he demonstrates excellent   leadership in handling the pitching staff. He shows a disciplined approach at the plate and has the ability to handle the bat extremely well. Blake shows good power and the ability to make hard contact on a consistent basis.

2022 LHP/1B Tyler Mejia, Mountain Vista HS (Uncommitted)
Tyler demonstrates the ability to be an offensive force. He can hit with power to all fields, has excellent plate discipline and an advanced approach at the plate. On this day, he had the opportunity to demonstrate that he can handle pitches up in the strike zone, down in the strike zone and to control the barrel with balls on both sides of the plate. He shows outstanding athleticism as a hitter and also in his defense at first base, his feet work well and his glove work around the bag is a plus. Tyler should have the opportunity to be a quality two way player at the next level. He shows the ability to be considered of the better players in his class in the state of Colorado.

VISTA RIDGE 11, PINE CREEK 10 (4.5)

Vista Ridge and Pine Creek squared off for a 4PM start on Tuesday, April 5. The game featured 2025 Louisville commit, Boston Kellner taking on 2022 Cowley CC commit Luke Singleton. There were 5 lead changes in the game with Vista Ridge putting 4 runs on the board in the 7th to win the game 11-10.

Luke Singleton (VR LHP) showed a smooth, easy arm action with his fastball sitting 83-85, topping out at 86. His fastball featured good arm-side run. Singleton located 3 pitches well. Curveball was 73 mph.

Offensively, for Vista Ridge, Luke Singleton and Chase Kessler (2023) led the way. Singleton showed an easy left-handed swing going 2-for-3 with a HR and 5 RBI while Kessler went 1-for-3 with a HR and 3 RBI.

BRIGHTON 7, LEGEND 6 (4.7)

Brighton and Legend matched up in a very intense and competitive game. 2023 RHP Brok Eddy, Brighton (Arizona State commit) was impressive in his start despite pitching in 20mph headwinds. Eddy went 6 innings giving up 3R. He has the ability to pound the zone with all of his pitches. FB ranged from 84-86 most of the day and touched 88. Has ASR that creates ground balls vs RHH. He is very consistent in locating his FB on the outer half of the plate. His CB 72-75  is a dominant pitch. 12/6 with a late break and appears to have 2 separate gears. Brok’s overall development continues with strength and maturity.  Would consider Brok Eddy one of the top pitchers in the State of Colorado!

The Wagner Brothers showed their own level of competitiveness in leading Legend. 2023 RHP Reece Wagner, Legend left after 5 innings with a lead. He went 5 Innings, 3H, 9k’s and as they say in baseball, “he has great stuff!”  FB 83-86 T88 from a variable hi/lo ¾ arm slot. Max effort delivery and pitches at upbeat tempo. FB has arm side run with some sink. SL ranged 72-75 and has sweeping action. Will benefit as he refines strike zone, but still effective.

2022, Kai Wagner, INF, Legend (Utah Commit) had a DAY!  3-for-3, 3 RBI and 2 HR’s. The left handed hitting middle infielder was very competitive in all plate appearances. Repeatable delivery with good arm action. Ability to throw strikes with all pitches. Mixes in a quick step that keeps hitters unbalanced.

2023 1B Brody Sprinkle, Chaparral (Uncommitted) Brody continues to develop. Middle of the field approach. Quick hands direct to the ball. Brody had 2 RBI from his double against Arvada West. Barrel finds the ball often.

2022 OF James Harbison, Chaparral (Uncommitted) James had a day at the plate going 3-for-4 with 2 singles and a double with an RBI. James battles at the plate and is disciplined. Strong and balanced lower half. Hands are direct to the ball.

RIVERDALE RIDGE 8, LEGEND 6 (4.8)

Two quality starts in a match-up between 4A Riverdale Ridge and 3A defending State Champ Eaton.  2024 RHP Garrett Garrison, Eaton (Uncommitted) used a FB 82-84 and a SL 71-75 with a rare CH 72 in steady mix throughout his 6 ⅓ innings of work. Good tempo throughout the delivery with an OT release, has slight tendency to drift to 1B side. Big frame shows very good potential. Can see velo gains with added strength and refinement. 6IP, 6H, 5ER, 8K’s.

2023 RHP/1B Ty Thompson, Riverdale Ridge (Uncommitted). Two-way talent has a big lean frame and tons of potential both ways. Thompson went 5IP, 2H, 0ER, with 4K’s. FB ranged from 84-87 touching 88. Maintained velo throughout. Located both sides of the plate. Maintained composure and showed leadership with a errors behind him. SL 78-79 was firm and in the zone. SL has a chance to be great pitch. CH 73-75 good feel and keeps it down in the zone. Consistent easy delivery. More in the tank with velo. High ceiling.
