Notes on Colorado's Updated 2023 Rankings

Mike Anderson
PBR Colorado Scouting Director

The 2023 PBR Colorado Rankings have been updated. The expanded list has reached 170+ players and will continue to add as PBR Events continue and PBR Scouting evaluates the championship high school seasons. With only 13 players from the 2023 class committed, this 2023 class should be one to follow closely. It is loaded with collegiate talent waiting for opportunities as Colorado's Class of  2022 recently passed the 160 count in player commitments.

SS Walker Martin - Eaton (Arkansas) commit remains in the No. 1 spot. He continues to show a lightning quick bat and added size and strength. His athleticism always produces results in game play and  defense continues to develop. The bat will find a place in any lineup.

No. 2 is RHP Max Stanley - Douglas County (Wichita St.) shows an unwavering dedication in his development. Stanley’s FB is now in the 92-95 range as he shows great signs in his repeatable delivery and composure.

RHP Brok Eddy - Brighton (Arizona St.) jumps into our No. 3 in our updated rankings. Eddy’s production is outstanding, currently with 37IP, 19BB, 71K’s with an OBA of .137. Brok’s FB (85-88) has arm side run and can locate as wanted. His CB is the best in the state with plus spin and 12/6 action.

SS Finley Bates, Douglas County (San Diego St.) remains in the top 5. Bates high school season has been limited after getting hit by a pitch. RHP Tate Smith - Eaton (Oklahoma St.) rounds out the top 5.

SS Chase Jaworsky - Rock Canyon (Uncommitted) and MIF Brandon Sanchez - Legacy (Uncommitted) enter the top 10, deservingly. Jaworsky’s smooth left handed swing has produced 8 home runs this year. Sanchez is a coach's dream, playing with an edge at all times and leading with production.

C Carson Tinney - Valor Christian (Notre Dame) lands at No. 11. Tinney is showing he can be an impact player in the middle of a lineup and has a plus arm and is a plus receiver. Not the only DI commit at Valor Christian in the catching position as they also have Michigan Commit, Cashel Dugger, ranked in the 22nd spot.

After two high school seasons that needed to be adjusted by COVID-19, this 2023 Class has more to offer. Follow as we continue to highlight our rising stars in this class.

PBR Colorado has used valued PBR staff, scouts, past and current HS coaches, past and current club coaches as resources to update and add to this list. Our  player list is the result of highly successful PBR events, games, and scouting throughout the state.
