Scouting Report

8-5-17
6-foot-0, 165-pound RHP/SS who ran a 7.20 60.  At the plate he is open with hands held high in the zone.  He uses a high leg kick to get loaded on his back side and to come square.  Hips fire through the zone and he hits off a firm front side.  Hands are quick and he turns well on the inside pitch.  Exit velocity was 86 MPH.  At short stop he carries himself well and moves well left and right.  He anticipates the ball off the bat and gets an extra step in the games.  He has soft hands and a great glove to hand transfer.  He delivers from a high ¾ arm slot and was 87 MPH across the diamond.  On the mound he gets balanced and then drives hard to the plate.  He has a fast loose arm and locates well down in the zone.  His fastball was 85 MPH with late run in on the right hand hitter.  He added a hard 75 MPH curve with sharp 11/5 break that dives out of the zone.  He finished with a 73 MPH change with late sink.  He worked two very effective innings at the TPG.
