PBR Colorado All-Colorado Team: Middle Infielders/Utility

PBR Colorado will be presenting the the PBR All-Colorado Team over the course of the next week. Players chosen for the PBR All-Colorado Team are players that not only performed well during the season, helped their team have success on the field, but also were seen in front of the PBR Colorado scouting staff in the form of a past PBR Colorado events or a game. We kicked off the PBR All-Colorado team with the Outfielders, the Corners, and Catcher/DH. Today we continue with the Middle Infielders/Utility

 

Shortstop

 

 

Cayden Zimmerman SS / 3B / Rock Canyon, CO / 2018

Committed to Air Force. 6-foot, 170 pounds. Bats and throws right. In 2017, Zimmerman was lost for the season due to a broken forearm. Zimmerman came back his senior year to help lead Rock Canyon and first year head coach Garrett Duman to a 5A Final 8 appearance by hitting .371 with 7 doubles and 4 triples. Zimmerman would hit safely in 18 of the 19 regular season games he played. Zimmerman also was a weapon on the mound coming in and closing games for the Jaguars pitching 11 innings and carried a 2.55 ERA striking out 11 with 2 saves. 

 

 

 

Second Base

 

Drew Stahl 2B / SS / Mountain Vista High School, CO / 2019

Committed to Washington State. 5-foot-9, 150 pounds. Bats and throws right.  Stahl had an impressive year at the plate helping the Golden Eagles win their first 5A State championship. Stahl led the Golden Eagles with a .444 batting average in 81 at bats. Stahl drove in 35, with 8 doubles, 3 triples, and 5 homeruns while scoring 38 runs. His OPS was. 1.340. 

 

 

Utility

 

Arian Jimenez-Quezada SS / 2B / Heritage, CO / 2018

Committed to Lamar CC. 5-foot-6, 150 pounds. Bats left, throws right.  Jimenez-Quezada helped lead Heritage and first year coach Tyler Munroe to the 5A state championship for the first time since 2004. Known for his flashy defense and strong arm at SS, he also led the Eagles with a .429 batting average in 77 AB's, and also led the team with 20 RBI's, and 3 homeruns. He also hit 6 doubles and scored 19 runs.
