PARKER, CO--  On March 8, 2020, the PBR Colorado Staff held the Colorado Preseason All-State Showcase in Parker, Colorado. This invite event had wide ranging talent from 2020-2024’s.  Highlighted by D1 Commits Tony Castonguay, 2020, C (Kansas) and Radek Birkholz, 2021, RHP/SS (Notre Dame), the All-State event also had some PBR newcomers make positive impressions  With over 50+ prospects in attendance.

Our post event coverage continues with 2 committed and talented Prospects. Both have rightfully earned top spots in the Colorado Rankings during their high school career:

+ Radek Birkholz, 2021, RHP/SS Valor Christian HS (Notre Dame)  Radeks love of the game was evident on and off the field. One week earlier, Radek was evaluated at Valor Chrisitan scrimmage on the mound.  His FB sat at 88-90 and had impressive 2-plane SL at 76. At the All-State Preseason event he highlighted his offensive and defensive skills.  His lower half strength is in sync with hands and creates plus bat speed and power. Exit Velo: 98. Defensive actions still raw, but solid results and plenty of work habits for development

+ Tony Castonguay, C, 2020  Grandview HS (Kansas) A catcher by trade, but his versatility could allow him opportunities in corner infield and outfield spots.  Behind the plate, he is clean and athletic and his arm plays with strength and quickness. He was a consistent 1.83-1.89 on pop times!!  A right-handed hitter, Castonquay swings with intent and aggression His 95 Exit Velo was on his swing. Demonstrated great energy throughout day!  He is in a great position to transition into collegiate baseball.
