The Colorado Fall Prospect Games will be held October 1st and 2nd at Highlands Ranch High School.  Participants from the classes of 2020-2017 will participate in a pro-style workout and games for the PBR Colorado Staff.  Over the next few weeks we will introduce you to several of the participants, continuing our look is Tyler Boggs, C/OF, Fruita Monument High School (2018).

PBR:  Describe yourself as a baseball player to those who have never seen you play:
Boggs:  I consider myself as an energetic player, who always wants to be on the field. I will play any position a coach puts me at and play to the best of my ability. I bat right and throw right.

PBR:  What would be your dream school to play baseball at?  If you have already committed to play at the next level, why did you choose that particular school?
Boggs:  My dream school to play baseball at is Grand Canyon University.

PBR:  What are your best assets on and off the field at this point in your high school career?
Boggs:  At this point in my high school career, my best assets on and off the field would be my work ethic, and ability to work well with others.

PBR:  What is the best baseball advice you have received and try to follow to this point in your career?
Boggs:  The best baseball advice I have ever received is that I need to remember that baseball is a game of failure, and this has helped me a lot through the years because I know I cant play my absolute best every game, but I can still try my hardest and get something good out of it.

PBR: What does your off-season routine look like to prepare for the upcoming season?
Boggs:  Before the upcoming season, I am in the batting cage taking lots of swings and throwing. I also lift weights during the off season to prepare my self for the upcoming season. I also play basketball for Fruita Monument High School.

PBR:  What are your superstitions or routines that go on during a season?
Boggs:  My superstitions really consist of what I do before the game. Getting in the same mindset every game, stretching the same way, warming up with the same person every game.

PBR:  What are your goals for:

This Season: My goals for this season are to start every Varsity game, bat at least .350, win our league, and win at least 1 playoff game.

Two Years:  My goal for myself in 2 years is to still be playing baseball somewhere in college, and having success.

Four Years: In 4 years, I would still like to be playing baseball at a four year school and hopefully get drafted to the MLB.
