The Prep Baseball Report’s 2018 Senior Games took place on July 25th and 26th at Metropolitan State College. Strong talent was on display in the first year of the event. 2018 Seniors showed up for the two day event that featured both a pro-style workout and games each day.

The other day we started the breakdown of players with the corners. Today we continue with the outfielders. Players are listed in alphabetical order.

Luke Bailey, OF, Chaparral
6-foot-3, 200 pounds. Bats and throws right. First time we got a chance to see Bailey. Athletic and shows pull-side power, evident with the 3 home runs he hit in live round over left center. Slight open stance at the plate and generates good bat whip through the zone. Registered a 94 mph exit velo off a tee. In the outfield showcased a strong arm throwing 85 mph to 3B. Ran a 6.95 60 time. Player who has been off our radar but now is and will be a riser in the 2018 rankings.

Preston Ederhoff, OF/RHP, Grandview
6-foot-2, 175 pounds. Bats and throws right. Athletic Outfielder. Projectable body. Looks like he's going to grow some more. Slightly crouched at the plate. Slightly open stance, short leg kick. Short load, slightly uphill swing. Has some bat speed. 87 mph exit velo off the tee. Showed good power to left center during live round. Good fundamentals in OF. Good arm at 85 mph to 3B. Ran a 7.12 60 time. On the mound like his leg drive to the plate. Pitches primarily from stretch. Good extension to the plate. High 3/4 arm angle. Fastball sat 80-81 mph for strikes. Slide had some late depth at 70-71 mph.

Zeke Hass, OF, Eaton
5-foot-8, 145 pounds. Bats left throws right. Starts with a slightly crouched stance, loads straigh back and utilizes short leg kick. Swing is level through the hitting zone with line drive power. Solid contact during live hitting round. 85 mph exit velo off the tee. Solid mechanics in the outfield. Throws from over the top arm slot at 73 mph. Has good range. Ran a 6.97 60 time.

Hayden Heinze, OF, Rocky Mountain (University of Northern Colorado)
5-10, 150 pounds. Bats and throws right. Cannot ignore the 6.6 60 time he ran off a coaches watch, the fastest at the event, and is the second time we have had him at 6.6 from previous events. He's short to the ball with his hands but gets good extension through the baseball. Sprays the ball around the field. Was 2 for 2 on the day in the game. Was not able to attend day 2 due to a a game conflict. Last event threw 83 mph from OF. In the outfield has a lot of range, and throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with accuracy. Committed to University of Northern Colorado right after the event.

Maxwell Marshall, OF, Grandview
6-foot-1, 185 pounds. Bats and throws right. Tall, wiry frame. Athletic outfielder. Slightly crouches in stance. Hands on shoulder. Short load, level swing through ball with bottom hand finish. Leg kick stride. Pull tendencies. 83 mph exit velo off the tee. Showed strong arm in OF at 83 mph from over the top arm slot. Has good range, gets behind ball. Ran a 6.8 60 time.

Frankie Shearn, OF, Columbine
6-foot-1, 175 pounds. Bats and throws right. Athletic outfielder who finds a way to get it done. Showed well at the plate going 2 for 3 with a double. Showcased a 86 mph exit velo off the tee. Improved arm velocity from last event throwing 79 mph from RF to 3rd. Looks like he has bulked up a little which could explain the 6.8 60 time when we have had multiple times in previous events at 6.7.
